The total under the bell curve is 1 (100%)
and for the range of z I'm not exactly sure

The range of z is across the entire bell curve. Over the entire range of z the area is 1. So what is the area of the bell curve greater than the mean. Where is the mean located on the bell curve?

0%? or 100%
sorry, appreciate your help
Come on! As you said the mean is in the middle of the curve. You also said that 50% of the area is to the right of the middle and 50% is to the left of the middle. So what percent is greater than the mean (to the right of the mean)?

0% is all the way to the left? Is that just the area greater than the mean?
100% is ALL the area. Is that just the area greater than the mean (to the right of the mean = to the right of the middle)?

Before we go any further you need to draw a bell curve and shade in the area above the mean and post this image.
