Hi!

I was wondering, if you were to open a lucky box in a game, in which there are 1/50 odds of getting an extraordinary rare knife, and 1/120 that the knife will be a specific one, what are the actual odds of getting the specific item?
Its 1/50 odds to get a knife
And its 1/120 out of these knives to be a specific one, what is the total odds of getting the item?

This is a math help site! Do you really expect someone to answer your question? It is unfortunate that you equate someone helping you with math with someone doing your work for you.

If you want help that is great but then you need to read the posting guidelines and submit a post following the guidelines.

I suspect that by "1/50 odds" you mean "probability 1/50", which is different; the latter corresponds to odds of 49:1 against it. Probability is much easier to work with.

Then, I suppose the 1/120 is the probability that any given knife of that sort would be the particular one you want; this is a conditional probability.

Now, what have you learned about how to combine these probabilities? Even if you aren't learning about probability, there is a good chance you can make the right guess. So let us know ... and then you will be following the guidelines:
