What have you tried - please share your work.(10 +3 - 8) -9 +(8 \ 4 - 2) please solve this step by step
(10 + 3 · 8) - 32 + (8 ÷ 4 · 2)What have you tried - please share your work.
Have you been taught that you need to first evaluate the terms inside the parentheses?
In the original post you wrote:(10 + 3 · 8) - 32 + (8 ÷ 4 · 2)
10 + 24 -9 + 8 /8
34 -9 + 1
the answer i got is 26 but the answer is suppose to be 29 can you show me where i went wrong
I corrected your 32 to what it apparently is, 32. (Use the x2 button on the tool bar.)(10 + 3 · 8) - 32 + (8 ÷ 4 · 2)
10 + 24 -9 + 8 /8
34 -9 + 1
the answer i got is 26 but the answer is suppose to be 29 can you show me where i went wrong
MultiplcationIn the original post you wrote:
(10 +3 - 8) -9 +(8 \ 4 - 2) ........... the operation between 3 and 8 was SUBTRACTION.
Now you are writing:
(10 +3 . 8) -9 +(8 \ 4 - 2) ........... the operation between 3 and 8 is MULTIPLICATION.
Which is it?
I appreciate I did the division wrongI corrected your 32 to what it apparently is, 32. (Use the x2 button on the tool bar.)
Your error is in the last part. You do division and multiplication from left to right, so 8 / 4 * 2 means (8 / 4) * 2 = 2 * 2 = 4, not 8 / (4 * 2) = 8 / 8 = 1.
You have to do the addition after the division and the multiplication:i finished the first one i got the division wrong
(54 - 10 + 4) ÷ 6 + 4 · 4
(44 +4) \ 22
48 \ 22
1.2
but they say the answer is 24 can yall help me step by step
