There's a workaround that I've been using. You can hit reply to the post with the unplayable video, and you should see the video link as...

[MEDIA=youtube]vFTeN17Z4rc[/MEDIA]

We're interested in the middle bit, in this case vFTeN17Z4rc

...then open a new tab in your browser and copy this into the URL box (without pressing enter)...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=

...then copy in the middle bit from above, so that you end up with something like this...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vFTeN17Z4rc

...then press enter. A bit of a hassle, but I assume it's something to do with my browser (which is an older version of Firefox)

I tried the most recent version of Firefox, and the link still doesn't work.
