I would first calculate:Help:
Rain falls at an average of 1mm/hr over an 8ha area 3.5 days. a) determine the total depth of rain in cm that fell over the 8ha area, b) the average rate of rainfall over the area I'm m³ s‐¹
Please see threadI would first calculate:
how many hours are there in 3.5 days? And
how many m2 are there in 1 ha ?

depth of Total rainfall = rate * time = 1 * 80 [mm/hr] * hr = 80 mm3.5days 84hrs
84 x 1.2 mm 100.8mm ÷ 10 = 10cm
1.2mm= 0.0012m
1ha = 80,000m² ...........................................Incorrect
80,000÷0.0012 = 96 ...........................................Incorrect
M³s‐¹ =96/60 = 1.6 m³ s
