I cannot figure out how to arrive at this 41.67 amount as the total service rate?

Is there another way to calculate average that I don’t know about?

Please help me figure out this math ‘riddle’!

There's also geometric mean and harmonic mean, but I doubt they'll give you 41.67.

A possible error in transcribing the value from the simple average.
42.41666667 turned into 41.67
