Not a telescoping series

I was going to solve this as a telescoping series but it's not working what do I do?

How do you $\frac{1}{1}$ as your first term?? n is supposed to be an integer?

Assume the series start from n=2 and you're trying to find the inifite sum. (Again, an incomplete question). What you have so far:$$\frac{1}{2}\sum_{n=2}^{\infty}\left(\frac{1}{n-1}-\frac{1}{n+1}\right)$$Write out the first 6 terms and the last 4 nth terms. What do you notice? If you don't see it write out more terms.

It might also help to break the some into two, one for odd $n$'s, another for even ones.
