-3x+7=-x-1 in tile form you know one with the positive and negative boxes with black and white tiles

But we can help with traditional techniques for solving the equation:
Are you trying to solve for x? If so, use addition, subtraction and division (what you do to one side you must do to the other) to isolate x on one side.
I'll get you started.
-3x + 7 = -x - 1
add x to both sides
-3x + x + 7 = -x + x - 1
which, when simplified, gives you:
-2x + 7 = -1
keep going.....
