this one i no clue how even to begin to solve.
I supposed to find hypot. I was only given the long leg which is 4.

You have it is a 60-30-90 triangle.

So the long leg must be attached to smaller angle (30)

Now use definition of sine-cosine to calculate the hypot.
 
OR x = short leg; so hypotenuse = 2x, and x^2 + 4^2 = (2x)^2 : kapish?
 
In a 30-60-90 triangle, the length of the long leg is ?3 times the length of the short leg. The hypotenuse is twice the length of the short leg. So if the long leg is 4 in length, to find the short leg divide by ?3.
