A and B are selling cookies. A has 73 more cookies than B.
A sells 3/5 of his cookies.
B sells 1/3 of his cookies.
They have 250 cookies left altogether.
How many cookies did they each have at the start?

Thanks

Welcome Bunny, you need to post some your own workings so that we have some idea as to what help you need.

I would normally suggest using algebra to solve this. Since you posted it under Arithmetic, I'm not sure whether you know the algebra needed to do it that way. (In fact, the fractions will make it rather difficult algebra!) But if not algebra, then we really need to see what methods you have been taught that might work, so we can help you learn what you are meant to learn.

This is why we need to see your work, along with any specific questions you have about that work.
