Please stop this sophomoric banter. It is getting to be beyond ridiculous!

I always admired your rigorous interpretation of mathematical statements. However, let us not get into criticizing volunteers for tongue-in-cheek statements. If those statements offend your sensibilities - please ignore those.

Banning a volunteer (like you )would be a very serious step to take - but we will do that to keep sanity in this forum.

Please "marinate " your thoughts before publishing those.

I look forward to your critical analysis of "mathematical" mistakes we make in this forum and keeping us vigilant.

You shouldn't have to take that step with Denis; he effectively
asked Ted to ban him, while majorly attacking me in the same post.

At the risk of being banned myself, I just want to say that we've had a very collegial relationship going on here. Why, all of a sudden, has it become so contentious!

I'm probably not the sharpest knife in the drawer...and for someone ELSE to assume that they are offends me.

We all learn from each other here, and we all aim to help students learn.

and for someone ELSE It's not about the "sharpest knife in the drawer"
in the forums. I don't see anyone laying claim to that. Users have
knowledge at various levels in so many subareas of math here, that
they can't be compared in an apples to apples approach for the honor of
"sharpest knife in the drawer," even if they desired to.

to assume that they are offends me.

I hope to put together here, (probably in comic strip form)
a primer of common argument-making errors to avoid
in postings/discussions.
