For instance, what is inside the "absolute value"? Is the "2" which follows the absolute value meant to indicate squaring, or something else? Is the subtracted value really the product of π (that is, "pi") and e (that is, "e"), or did you mean just "pi"?

Do you mean that problem 22 is to evaluate ∣2π∣? Do you know what π is? Do you know what the "absolute value" is?
(By the way, the standard transliteration for π is "pi", not "pie".)
