A cup of peanuts contains 8 more grams of carbohydrates than a cup of walnuts and 1 less gran than a cup of almonds. If a cup of walnuts contains w grams of carbohydrates, then a mix of one cup each of peanuts, walnuts, and almonds contains ___?_____ grams of carbohydrates.

p = w + 8

a = w + 8 + 1

w = w

w + (w +8) + (w + 1)

3w + 9

Help! I don't think my answer is correct.

p = grams of carbs in 1 cup peanuts
a = grams ok carbs in 1 cup almonds
w = grams of carbs in 1 cup walnuts

p = w + 8
a = p - 1

a = (w + 8) - 1
a = w + 7

1 cup peanuts + 1 cup almonds + 1 cup walnuts contains
w + 8 + w + 7 + w grams of carbohydrates
