How do I work out gh(x) and give the domain and range of this? When g(x)= root x where x>_0 and h(x) 2x+1 where xE
I have started by doing g(2x+1)= root x(2x+1)
but I dont know where to go from here? I would appreciate some help.
Isn't there something missing here? How do I work out gh(x) and give the domain and range of this? When g(x)= root x where x>_0 and h(x) 2x+1 where xE
Assuming you mean square root and that x∈R, the the square root can be applied only to non-negative numbers so we must have 2x+1≥0. Solve that to get the domain. As for range, since g(x)=x is define as "the positive number, y, such that y2=x", gh clearly can't be negative. Can it ever be 0?I have started by doing g(2x+1)= root x(2x+1)

We appreciate that you have shown what you have thought about, but please try to make your questions complete and clear. How do I work out gh(x) and give the domain and range of this? When g(x)= root x where x>_0 and h(x) 2x+1 where xE
