Algebra help: Find n for 3 + (2+8) = n + 10

Hint: What is 2 + 8? What does this leave "n" to be?

We don't know what "properties" your book has introduced, so there's little we can do in that regard. Look in your text for definitions and examples.

The properties

there are different properties transitive, multiplicative identity, symmetric reflexive etc.

So which operation you must do first?

If you don't know, review Hierarchy of mathematical operations.

Name the property used in each equation. Then find the value of n.
3 + (2+8) = n + 10
FORGET the property name for now: what is the value of n ?
