Algebra help needed for (a^2-8a-16)/(a+4)

(a^2-8a-16)/(a+4) am trying to help my son with his math if someone could help me with this problem then maybe I can help him with the rest. Thank You
PS "Use synthetic division to divide" are the instructions for this problem.

Unfortunately, trying to tutor through a "translator" who doesn't "speak the language", as it were, does not generally end happily.

We really need to hear from the actual student, partly because we cannot teach the necessary lessons to get you up to speed, but mostly because the only way we can learn where he's having trouble is, well, to hear from him. :wink:

You can use synthetic division with the divisor is in the form of (x - a) or (x + a)
