as im redoing it out here i find there are more ways to do it and anyway i do from here comes out with a wrong answer

the answer in the book is -8, i get -14

1 - [14 + 28 / 7 - (6+ 9 / 3)]
= 1 - [14 + 4 - (6 + 3)]
= 1 - [18 - (9)]
= 1 - [9]
= -8

Don't worry too much; takes practice; another week or so and you'll be sent to the Majors
