A restaurant asks a sample of 9 customers to rate the quality of the food on scale of 0 to 10 where 0 is poor and 10 is excellent. The restaurant would like to use a two-tailed hypothesis test with a 5% significance level to determine if the population mean is significantly different to 7. Which of the following critical values should be used for the test?
  • A. 2.306
  • B. 2.365
  • C. 3.355
  • D.
    1.860

Can you please tell us where you are stuck? If you show us your work we can see the method which you want to use and see if/where you made any mistakes and if the need arises we can give you some hints to get your answer.

Which tests do you know and when do you use them? That would be where I start. Please answer that question and we can proceed from there.
