What about his partner Laxman? Think about the remaining runs and overs they need to accomplish to win the game.View attachment 30388
Tendulkar along with someone in 3rd partnership will score x runs in y overs .
in q43 , ( 141 + 9 + x ) / ( 44 + 16 + y ) = Avg Run rate per over till 3rd partnership broke .
The runs that tendulkar will score will be a multiple of 8 in 3rd and 4th partnership both .
tendulkar & Laxman will need --> 360 - ( 150 + x ) Runs in 90 - ( 60 + y ) overs .What about his partner Laxman? Think about the remaining runs and overs they need to accomplish to win the game.
Ok, so they need to score 210 runs in 30 overs to win. So the necessary run rate is 7runs/ over. You know Telkundar's run rate is going to be 8, what about Laxman's run rate? (Hint: Look at the parenthesis from the question, "maximum support" & "equal strike"). Once you know Laxman's run rate, you can find Telkundar's and Laxman's scores.tendulkar & Laxman will need --> 360 - ( 150 + x ) Runs in 90 - ( 60 + y ) overs .
Total runs scored by Tendulkar = T
T1 + asssume Dravid = x runs ----( 3rd partnership )
T2 + Laxman = 210 - x runs ----( 4th partnership)
T = T1 + T2
in 4th partnership, laxman and tendulkar need to score 210 - x runs in 90 - ( 60 + y ) overs .o they need to score 210 runs in 30 overs to win.
6 runs per overOnce you know Laxman's run rate, you can find Telkundar's and Laxman's scores.
Then together, they will score 14 runs/over. Each over, Tendulkar contributes (8/14) runs, and Laxman contributes (6/14) runs. So how much of the 210 overs Tendulkar scored? I hope I spilt enough for you to finish.in 4th partnership, laxman and tendulkar need to score 210 - x runs in 90 - ( 60 + y ) overs .
3rd partnership is there .
6 runs per over
then?
I think you're overthinking. If you have a total of 210 runs left, and Telkudnar contributes 8/14, while Laxman contributes 6/14, thenyeah in the fourth partnership total runs scored by tendulkar and laxman in one over is 14
14 * ( 90-(60 +y)) = 210 - x
14 * (30 - y) = 210 - x
420 - 14y = 210 - x
14y - x = 210
You do need to study the spelling of Tendulkar .....Telkundar's
You're right. I might have offended him. I hope he doesn't come after me. ?You do need to study the spelling of Tendulkar .....
Your logic was if sachin scored 8 runs out of 14 then proportionately out of 210 runs he scored 120 runs .If you have a total of 210 runs left, and Telkudnar contributes 8/14, while Laxman contributes 6/14, then
Telkundar's scored = 210(8/14)=120.
Again you started new problem!Your logic was if sachin scored 8 runs out of 14 then proportionately out of 210 runs he scored 120 runs .

q45 , no of runs Sachin scored during his innings
During sachin and ganguly , sachin will face 6 overs and during other partnerships , it will be 2/3 rd of other overs .
no of overs Sachin scored during sachin - kumble = 2/3 * 10 = 6.6
no of overs Sachin scored during sachin - harbhajan= 2/3 * 8 = 5.3
no of overs Sachin scored during sachin - srinath= 2/3 * 5 = 3.3
no of overs Sachin scored during sachin - yohannan= 2/3 * 10= 6.6
no of runs Sachin scored during his innings= 210.4 runs
but answer is 212 .
