Hi - wondering if folks can help with the below problem!
A tech company is upgrading their travel claim software for employees submitting in-country expense claims for reimbursement.
Of all the claims entered, 94% are in-country claims broken down by size as follows:
1-10 lines: 55.3%
11-25 lines: 28.9%
26-50 lines: 9.7%
101+ lines: 0.20%
The remaining 6 percent of claims represent out of country travel claims.
On the old system, an 8 line claim took one user 540 seconds and another user 223 seconds. For a 20 line claim, it took one user 1170 seconds and another user 397 seconds.
The new system claims it will take 60 seconds per line.
Using a weighted average, how much faster is the new system compared to the old?
Do I take the users times, add them together and divided by 2 to get an average and then multiple that by the 55.3% and 28.9% respectively?
