Here at FMH we prefer that the student solves their own problem with the assistance of the helpers here.
This means that you should tell us where you are stuck by showing us the work which you have tried--even if you know it is wrong.
For part a I would start by drawing vertical strips and then answer MarkFl's question? Also please include a drawing of what you are trying to do. Thanks!
