The value of an antique ornament t years after being purchased is A = 2000e(0.1 t) dollars. (its e powered 0.1t)
  1. a Find the value of the antique
    ii when purchased and
    ii 3 years after purchase.
  2. b Hence, find the average rate of change of value
    in the 3 years since purchased.
  3. c Find the rate of change of value 3 years after
    purchase.

[MATH]\overline{\Delta A} = \dfrac{A(t_1) - A(t_0)}{t_1-t_0}[/MATH]
evaluate that at [MATH]t_0=0,~t_1=3[/MATH]
for (c) you'll need to to find [MATH]\left .\dfrac{dA}{dt}\right|_{t=3}[/MATH]
do you know how to do that?
