I need help with letter (b) so I got 11 numbers that are greater than the mean length, which I got( 648 divide by 20=32.4) ,so I set up a math proportion 100*11 and divide by 20 = 55% but in an answer book it said 45%, Am I doing something incorrect, if yes
Explain to me please.

11 out of 20 is 55%...are you sure you were asked for the percentage of the data greater than the mean?

Okay, can you post the 20 given values for leaf length?

Can you please state the numbers that are more than the average? I think if you do that then it will clear up everything for you. So please post back.

Okay, like you I get a mean of 32.4 mm, but I only count 9 data greater than the mean, specifically these values:

34, 39, 39, 41, 43, 43, 45, 51, 52

You said that you got 11 numbers that are greater than the mean length and I am asking you to please list those 11 numbers.
