Please show us your work/thoughts - so that we know where to begin to help you.

A line whose slope is "m" and passing through \(\displaystyle (x_1,y_1)\) will be described by following equation:

\(\displaystyle (y \, - \, y_1) \, = \, m \cdot (x \, - \,x_1)\)

Re: College Algebra

parallel lines have the same slope, so the first step is to identify the slope of the given line y= 3x/2- 7/9.

using this slope and the given point, (4,6), use the point-slope form of a linear equation to find the desired equation.
