G Guest Guest Aug 14, 2005 #4 3k-2y+4z=8 if you need to solve for y , the process is to rearrange the equation to get y by itself. so...start by moving the -2y from the left side to the right side. 3k+4z=2y +8 now move the 8 from the right to the left side 3k+4z-8=2y then divide everything by 2, to get y by itself (3k+4z-8)/2 = y all the best..............
