I have statistics problem where:

We have 40 motorbikes, the weight of each motorbike is normally distribution with a mean of 200kg and std dev of 50kg, we are to assume the weight of the motorbikes are independent

With a random variable Y as the total weight of the 40 motor bikes.

How do i find the mean or expected value of the random variable Y and calculate the standard deviation of the variable Y
