Straight line P has equation y= 3x+ 7 Straight line Q is parallel to P and intersects the y-axis at 2. Straight line R is perpendicular to P and intersects P on the y-axis. What is the x-coordinate of the point where R intersects Q?

Giftjumbo, do you understand why the equation of [imath]R[/imath] is [imath]y=\frac{-1}{3}x+7~?[/imath]
If so, please post the complete solution. Otherwise tell us where you are lost.
