I am trying to figure out the correlation of random variables Q and R, Corr=(Q,R) and I am given R's distribution type and standard deviation, and I am told that when Q is conditional on R=r it is the same distribution type,
how can I figure out the standard deviation of Q/ what distribution type it is?
should I assume since when Q is conditional on R=r it is the same distribution type should I then make the standard deviation the same for both distributions?
I'm confused as to how I find the other stand deviation and expected value so I can't start solving the Corr(Q,R) = (E(QR)-E(Q)E(R))/SD(Q)*SD(R)
