For the function h(x) given in the graph

c2s2p1.gif

The domain of h(x) is: [-3,3] (i think)
The range of h(x) is: [-1,2] (i think)

Note: Write the answer in interval notation.

Enter each corresponding function value in each answer space below:

1. h(-1) =
2. h(-3) =
3. h(0) =
4. h(2) =

Can somebody please help me figure this one out?

Your domain is good, but check your range -- what is h's lowest point?

h(3) means what is the y-ordinate of h when x=3. 3 squares to the right of the origin (x = 3), h is 1 square down (y = -1). That is, h(3) = -1.
