cos theta = a dot b / magnitude of a multiply magnitude of b

I do cos theta = a dot b / magnitude of a multiply magnitude of b and find the angle is 11.3 degree
then i get the BN as 1.17 which when i check it NC will be over AC.
Can you help me with this please!!Thank you.

I think the first image contains the following:

Parallelogram OBCA has its sides determined by \(\displaystyle \, \overrightarrow{OA}\, =\, \overrightarrow{a}\, =\, [4,\, 2,\, 4]\,\) and \(\displaystyle \, \overrightarrow{OB}\, =\, \overrightarrow{b}\, =\, [3,\, 1,\, 4].\) A line is drawn from B perpendicular to side AC of the parallelogram to intersect AC at N. Determine the length of BN.

I'm not going to try to dissect sideways stuff, though. Sorry. ;)
