Create a function whose graph has the indicated characteristics:

. . .* a vertical asymptote at x = 0
. . .* a slant asymptote of y = -x

I graphed the asymptotes, although I think I can multiply -x by a function the there is an asymptote at x = 0. However, I do not know that function. Is this correct? Can you please help me understand?

Thank you.

There is some misinderstanding, here.

Problem statement: "Create a function"
Your denial: "I do not know that function"

There are many such functions. The problem statement allows for this. Your statement appears to think otherwise.

Build something, one step at a time.

"a vertical asymptote at x = 0"

Okay f(x) = something/x

"a slant asymptote of y = -x"

Okay f(x) = -x + something/x = (-x^2 + something)/x

Now you can pick values for "something" all day long. I used something = 5 and then something = 10. Pick something.
