Can you please tell me what I did wrong for this problem:

f (x) = 3 (x^1/2) sinx

f'(x) 3 (x^1/2) cosx + (3sinx)/2(x^1/2)

Thanks..

Re: Derivative of trig func

Hello, DAAN!

Can you please tell me what I did wrong for this problem:

\(\displaystyle f(x) \:=\: 3x^{\frac{1}{2}}\cdot\sin x\)

\(\displaystyle f'(x)\:=\: 3 x^{\frac{1}{2}}\cdot\cos x\,+\,\frac{3\cdot\sin x}{2x^{\frac{1}{2}}}\)

Your answer is correct . . . Who said it was wrong?
