derivatives- slopes and tangents

points are the orgin (0,0) and (1,2)
when you have the differential form this is the equation for the slope (ie the m in the equation y=mx+b)

now sub in one set of the points from above into the dy/dx and this gives you m. Then sub the points and m into y=mx + b and find b.
Rewrite the equation using the m and b values.

repeat this for the other set of points and you have the 2 tangent equations.
