Determine equations of all lines that are tangent to y=x^2/(x-1) and that pass through the point (2,0).

Please help me!!!

Find \(\displaystyle \frac{dy}{dx}\)

Then what?

Are you familiar with the Point-Slope formula?

There may be a simpler method, but I used m = dy/dx with the coordinates (2, 0) in the Point-Slope formula to get an equation for the tangent line(s) in terms of x and y.

We also have the given equation in x and y.

I solved this system of two equations, to find coordinates of two tangent points.

The x-coordinate at each of these points leads to the requested tangent-line equations, by substitution.

Your request for help is too vague, at this point, for me to say much more. You did not ask any questions of your own about this exercise.

Do you know why you're stuck?
