How do I differentiate sqrt (2x+3) ? Must I change 2x to 2x^[sup:3hi7t11g]1/2[/sup:3hi7t11g] and 3 to 3^[sup:3hi7t11g]1/2[/sup:3hi7t11g]? Thx.

There is NO property that tells us the following:

sqrt(2x + 3) = sqrt(2x) + sqrt(3)

Do this, instead:

sqrt(2x + 3) = (2x + 3)^(1/2)

and use the Chain Rule.
