A dress that sells for $50.00 now has a 10% discount marked on the tag. How much will you save off the regular price of the dress?

Sigh .... :(

A dress that sells for $50.00 now has a 10% (If it's a percentage, convert it into a decimal. What's 10/100?) discount marked on the tag. How much will you save off the regular price of the dress?

So if you think abouttt ittt....

Original price - Original price times percent discounted = the amount you save.

Or you can do it in a more simpler way. the way that i prefer to do it.

the dress was $50.00. It has a 10% discount. Turn both numbers into fractions.

50/1 x 10/100.

50 10
1 x 100

simplify and you get a total of 5. Right???

Then, 5= the total amount that you take off off the dress, so.........

you subtract 5 from 50 and get $45.00. Got it???

THERE we go. I was wondering if you were going to answer the problem statement or just continue to go with the additional problem you made up. :)
