How to go about solving this problem? (3x^2-2x)^(6x) = 1
...or get a quadratic:
3x^2 - 2x = 1^(1/(6*x)) : rule: if a^b=c, then a = c^(1/b)
3x^2 - 2x = 1
3x^2 - 2x - 1 = 0
This will not obtain all solutions; don't forget to consider unstated assumptions!
There's a reason the problem asked explicitly for "all real numbers x".
