What is the expression 2^-3 ×2^2 to the power of negative 3.

I am posting this just for a thumbs up. I am pretty confident i have it.
What is the expression 2^-3 ×2^2 to the power of negative 3 times two squared equivalent to?

[math]2^-3 = 1/2^3 =1/8[/math]
[math]1/8 * 4= 1/8 * 4/1 =4/8= 1/2[/math]
1/2 is listed among the answer choice

Correct. Or: [math]2^{-3}\times2^2=2^{-3+2}=2^{-1}=\frac{1}{2}[/math]

No, based on what you wrote, your answer is clearly wrong.

To me, you are clearly asking for \(\displaystyle (2^{-3}*2^2)^{-3}*2^2 = (\dfrac{1}{2})^{-3}*2^2 = 8*4=32\)

That may be the problem but that is not what you wrote.

I learned this:
2^-3 becomes 1/2^3 which becomes 1/8
1/8 * 2^2

=1/8* 4
=1/8 * 4/1
=1/2

My mistake, then. I am sorry.
