Evaluating expressions: (x - 1)(x - 2)(x + 3), etc.

Hi,

I was wondering if someone could take a look at these and make sure they're right. Thanks a lot!

1. (x^3 + 5x^2 + 6x + 7) + (5cx^2 - 4x^3 + 8 -2x)

= -3x^3 + 5cx^2 + 5x^2 + 4x + 15


2. (x-1)(x-2)(x+3)

(x^2 - 2x - 1x +2)(x+3)

(x^3 - 3x^2 + 2x + 3x^2 - 9x + 6)

= x^3 -7x +6

If you meant "simplify" rather than "evaluate", then, yes, you appear to have simplified correctly. :wink:
