I am hoping this is under the correct topic. I am not really sure. I just know I need major help b/c I am so confused. I have read up extensively on modules, but still can't seem to get a grasp on how to complete my assignment.

Explain how positive and negative integers can be combined under the operations of addition and multiplication using mod 5. I need to come up with different examples for each of these. Any help would be so greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

So pick a couple numbers. Add them. Show your work. Explain your reasoning.

Pick another couple numbers. Multiply them. Show your work. Explain your reasoning.

Run your paper by a friend, especially if you can find one who hasn't worked with modular arithmetic. If your friend "gets it", you're done.
