Find (a,b) if (x^2*y^3)^4/(x^3*y)^5 = y^a/x^b

Why are you given this if you have no idea?

(x^2*y^3)^4 = x^8*y^12 : did you know that?
If not, better see your teacher, since we can't teach here...

Which part? The whole thing, starting from what variables are? Or are you requesting lessons starting with exponents and how to simplify them?

(We'll be glad to find links to lessons for you, so you can study and learn and then attempt these exercises, but it would be helpful if you could narrow things down a bit. "I can't do any of my homework" is, I'm afraid, a bit broad.)
