Expressing contribution to a rate (houses built per worker)

The efficiency of a building firm is described by the rate of houses that it builds per worker. The overall rate is 2.76 (47 houses built by 17 workers). The firm is split into 2 teams: Team A builds 25 houses and has 12 workers (so a rate of 2.08), Team B builds 22 houses and has 5 workers (so a rate of 4.40).

What are some ways to describe the contribution of the 2 teams to the overall rate for the firm?

One example would be: "a 10% increase in the number of workers for Team B would improve the firm's overall rate by 11.9% (ie from 2.76 to 2.81)". Are there other ways of describing this contribution to the overall rate?

Are you in the construction business, or is this
a classroom question?

Regardless, is the A:B = 2.08:4.40 ratio due to
the speed of the workers or to team B building
smaller houses...get my drift?

Thanks for your reply. This is for an industry report.

There are several factors why Team B is the more efficient (eg better management, easier access to materials etc).

What I want to express is the impact that increasing the size of Team B will have on the overall rate of 2.76 (assuming factors - other than number of workers - remain constant).
