OK I understand the basic concept, but I got one problem on my homework that just doesn't work, no matter what I do. Can you help? I'm supposed to write each expression in quadratic form, if possible.

6b^5+3b^3-1

This quintic has 4 non real and only one real root. That is why you are having trouble.

It does not factor nicely.
