I can figure out how to factor this poly:

7X^2-54x+35

I tried
(-7x-5)(-1X-7) however I get 7x^2+54+35, so the sign on the +54x is wrong.

Help please.

Why do you have a negative sign on your leading terms of the binomial factors?

= 7x[sup:2k5dsre7]2[/sup:2k5dsre7] - 49x - 5x + 35

= (x - 7)(7x - 5)

I tried
(-7x-5)(-1X-7) however I get 7x^2+54+35, so the sign on the +54x is wrong.
