Factor: 3p3−6p2q+9pq3


My answer = 3p(p2-2pq+3q3)

Textbook answer = 3p(p2-2pq+3q2)

3p*3q3 should be equal to 3pq3, right?


How did they get the variable exponent of 2?

The textbook answer is incorrect. You are correct. May have been a typo in either the question or answer. (Seem my comment in red above)
