For the given function, find the indicated function values.

f(x) = square root of 8 - 4x;
f(1) and f(3)

f[x]= [ 8-4x]^1/2

f[a] means replace x with a

f[1]=[8-4]^1/2
f[1]=4^1/2
f[1]=+/-2

f[3]= [8-12]^1/2
f[3]=[-4]^1/2
f[3]=+/- 2j
