G galactus Super Moderator Staff member Joined Sep 28, 2005 Messages 7,203 Feb 5, 2007 #2 If the line is parallel to \(\displaystyle y=\frac{-1}{2}x+2\), then it has the same slope. See it?. Find the derivative of x^2, set it equal to the slope you found and solve for x. There ya' go.
