What are the endpoints of the segment? Once you know that, you can use the distance formula to find the length between the two points.
Think of the 'blue' line segment as the hypotonus of a right triangle the lengths of its legs are five and one. Those are gotten by simply counting the 'block' units. How long is the hypotonus?
