Find the value of x + y from an inscribed circle

"In the figure, a quadrilateral is inscribed in the circle. Find the value of x + y"

okay, i seriously don't get how to do this one, can someone explain to me how they answered this question?

Forget the quadrilateral. You have a triangle inscribed in a circle, with a diameter as one side. That means this is a right triangle with the diameter as the hypotenuse.

Take it from there.
