I would like to know if someone got 21 out of 22 correct how do I solve to find the percent correct?

Thanks

Re: finding a percentage.

Thank you for your reply but when I used the equation calculator on the top of the page it returns a null [] value. I put 21/22*100,
21/22*1/100,
21/22*x/100
21/22*100/x

I know I am close (closer now thanx to you) but an still missing something.
Thanks Again

Re: finding a percentage.

You can't divide 21 by 22? You're kidding, right?

Example: 4/2*5 : 4/2 = 2 ; 2 * 5 = 10

I will guess that you're referring to this calculator from the pull-down menu at the top of every forum page.

However, since "21/22*100" is an expression, not an equation (having no "equals" in it), it makes sense that the calculator would "choke" on the invalid input.

To learn how to find percentages, try some online lessons. However, in the specific case you have posted, the instructions provided earlier are more than sufficient: do the long division, and then move the decimal point.

Yes Denis I can divide however I misread the instructions. Oops!
Thanks!! Stapel as I had forgotten the difference between an expression and an equation.

Problem solved.
